Page 340, question 3: The book does not say that sentence a) has a normal interpretation. I disagree. Depending on the context it can. Most of the time I would say "take it there" or "bring it here." Imaginge though two people looking over a map, and one person is telling the other to deliver let's say a new car to his house. If I were the first person I would say, "Take it here," pointing to where my house is located on the map.

Like much of what we've discussed so far, I think it all has to do with context. So, like you said, "take it here" is a possibility. It may also depend on dialect. For instance, I spent my childhood in Illinois, until grade 2, when I moved to Louisville, KY. When my teacher said, "Put your things up," I didn't know whether she meant to put my notebook on my desk, or to put it away. I later figured out that "up" in this context means "away" to most Kentuckians.
